The Voice Behind the Music
Who I Am
Ryan Thurzo Gibson, known professionally as MadLadGibson, is a musician, creator, builder, and storyteller from the California high desert.
Raised with strong Hungarian roots and a deep respect for craftsmanship, family, and heritage, Ryan's work is built around a simple belief: the things worth creating take time.
His musical journey began with piano before picking up a guitar around the age of ten. Over the years he expanded into bass, drums, mandolin, mandola, banjo, cello, and numerous other instruments, developing a lifelong passion for music and creative expression.
Drawing inspiration from rock, metal, blues, folk, and progressive music, MadLadGibson creates songs that explore truth, struggle, perseverance, faith, transformation, and the search for meaning. Rather than chasing trends, each song is written as part of a larger story.
Beyond music, Ryan's background spans live production, lighting, audio, video, IT, electronics, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship. Whether producing a song, engraving a collector coin, building a website, or creating a live experience, the goal remains the same: build something meaningful and lasting.
At the center of the MadLadGibson project stands the Lantern—a symbol of guidance, truth, and the light that helps us navigate through darkness. The Lantern appears throughout the music, artwork, stories, and collector pieces as a reminder to keep moving forward and follow the light.
Built in the desert. Forged through experience. Guided by the Lantern.
Welcome to the journey.
